Making A Purchase
Making a purchase could not be easier. Just browse our catalogue, and click on any items that you wish to buy and put them into the shopping basket. After you have finished your selection, click on "Checkout" and you will be asked for a few details that we need to be able to satisfy the order.
Payment can be made by either credit/debit card or via your PayPal Account. All major credit/debit cards are accepted and these are securely processed online by Sage Pay and PayPal. We cannot accept money orders or cash. To pay by cheque please contact us first. Goods will not be dispatched until funds have cleared.
Once you have placed an order with us we will acknowledge that we have received it by email. The order will then be processed and then accepted by us by sending you a second email (the 'Payment Received Email') detailing the goods you have bought and the delivery charge. When you receive the 'Payment Received Email' it will not be possible to cancel or amend the order without contacting us first.
All products are sold subject to availability and we reserve the right to change prices, descriptions and packaging without notice. We also reserve the right to cancel orders at anytime.
Certain products for example cleavers can only be sold to persons who are eighteen years old or older. If these items are purchased they must be paid for by means of a valid credit card which is registered to you.

Upon receiving your order Tradewinds Oriental Shop aim to process and dispatch your order within 2 business working days. Typical delivery time is between 3-5 days.
All shipping charges are based upon a maximum weight of 30kg (inclusive of packaging) and your location. For orders greater than 30kg please contact us for quote.
Mainland UK Delivered by FedEx or Yodel, usual delivery time 2 days. Up to 30kg: £4.99
Northern Ireland Delivered by Yodel, usual delivery time 3 days. Up to 30kg: £11.00

Delivery Schedule
Upon receiving your order Tradewinds Oriental Shop aim to process and dispatch your order within 2 business working days. Typical delivery time is between 3-5 days.
We will endeavour to meet the dispatch time as per our delivery schedule. If due to unforeseen circumstances there is a delay in dispatching goods from our warehouse we will contact you and advise you of the revised schedule.

Back Orders
If an item is out of stock we will contact you giving you the option of either cancelling the purchase of the item or placing it as a back order. We will advise you when the item is back in stock. If you decide you still want the item we will then charge for the goods and dispatch by our preferred method of postage. Back Orders will automatically be cancelled after a period of three months. The Back Order service is not available for sales outside of the UK. |
Tax Charges
All prices are quoted in pounds sterling and where applicable are inclusive of VAT at the current rate. The current rate of VAT on applicable goods is 20.0%. |
Credit Card Security
For your complete security your credit card details are processed by Sage Pay and PayPal on a secure server. As such we do not have access to hold records of any of your credit card information. We are also Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI DSS) compliant. |
Guarantee
We try to guarantee your complete satisfaction, though we cannot be held responsible for the inaccuracy of any information printed on the packaging of any products purchased from us. Relevant items, for example electrical goods, will have a twelve months guarantee unless stated otherwise. |
Privacy Policy
Tradewinds Oriental Shop do not disclose buyers' information to third parties other than when order details are processed as part of the order fulfilment. In this case, the third party will not disclose any of the details to any other third party.
Cookies are used on this shopping site to keep track of the contents of your shopping basket, to store delivery addresses if the address book is used and to store your details if you select the 'Remember Me' Option. They are also used after you have logged on as part of that process. Returns Policy
Faulty goods or goods supplied different to that which was ordered should be returned to us within fourteen days in the original packaging. Please email us at sales@tradewindsorientalshop.co.uk with your name, order number, and details of the issue. We will then advise you of which method to return goods by and a full refund of postage costs will be given.
Goods that are not faulty but you would still like a refund must be returned to us within fourteen days. The goods must be in original and resalable condition. On receipt of goods we will immediately issue a refund unfortunately we are unable to refund any postage return costs incurred by yourself. Items returned should be sent to us at the address shown on the invoice. The invoice should also be enclosed and returned with the goods.
At the time you dispatch goods by our preferred return method we advise that you obtain and retain in a safe place proof of posting. |
